The craze for Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) is rapidly increasing in the country. Several SUV models sell more than 10,000 units on average every month.
On the other hand, the 2024 Citroen C5 Aircross is struggling to attract customers. Last month, only one buyer purchased this car.
Prior to this, in December 2023, only two customers bought this SUV, and between April and December last year, only 55 units were sold.

Citroen is making every possible effort to boost sales of its flagship SUV. The 2024 CitroΓ«n C5 Aircross could offer benefits of up to 3.5 lakh rupees this month.
It comes equipped with a 12.3-inch digital display and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment console with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For passenger safety, it includes several airbags, traction control, engine immobilizer, and a rearview camera.

Experts believe that one of the main reasons behind the low sales of the Citroen C5 Aircross in the country is the companyβs limited dealership and small service network.
Additionally, there are doubts among people about CitroΓ«nβs long-term presence in India. Because of this, they hesitate to invest around 40 lakh rupees in this car. In the same price range, the Toyota Fortuner also poses stiff competition to CitroΓ«nβs SUV sales.
