German carmaker Volkswagen is working on a new 7-seater SUV 2024 Volkswagen Tayron SUV. It will be a global model based on the MQB-A2 platform, which will get a front-wheel drive layout.
The company will produce and export it in Germany next year for global markets. It will be launched in the Indian market in 2025 and will replace the AllSpace trims of the Volkswagen Tiguan.
According to reports, it will be brought to the country as a completely knocked down (CKD) unit and assembled locally.

The 2024 Volkswagen Tayron has been given a rounded look, which is similar to the Tiguan. It has an aggressive looking front bumper, chunky alloy wheels and chrome inserts.
This 3-row SUV is 197 mm longer, 17 mm wider and 43 mm taller than the Tiguan and the wheelbase is also 111 mm longer.
The latest car will also get a new control matrix, a new dashboard with new-look air vents, a 12.9 to 15-inch central touchscreen infotainment display along with a 10.3-inch digital instrument display.
Volkswagen is already selling the 5-seater Tayron in China. It is a left-hand-drive and around 4.6 meter long SUV, while the next generation Terrain will be larger than this. It will get an additional row of seats.
According to reports, the company will produce limited units of this model. The company had also launched T-Roc and Tiguan AllSpace in the Indian market in a similar manner. Apart from this, Volkswagenβs all-electric ID4 can be introduced late next year.
