Indian automobile company Mahindra and Mahindra is actively working to expand its electric vehicle portfolio in India. The Mahindra BE 6e and Mahindra XEV 9e have already been launched and are performing well in sales.
The company is now focusing on its next electric SUV, the 2025 Mahindra XEV 7e, which is based on a new platform. Reports suggest that the company will introduce this vehicle in India shortly.

2025 Mahindra XEV 7e: Design and Dimension
The Mahindra XEV 7e will be based on the XUV700 platform. Mahindra has not officially released its dimension details, but we expect the SUV to measure approximately 4,790 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, 1,690 mm in height, and 2,775 mm in wheelbase.
In terms of design, the XEV 7e will feature a full LED lighting setup with connected DRLs, a closed-off grille, and stylish alloy wheels. The SUV is expected to closely resemble its ICE sibling, the XUV700. Additionally, it will sport a muscular bonnet, an electric sunroof, and electrically adjustable ORVMs. At the rear, it will have a full-width LED light bar, sleek LED tail lamps, and distinctive “7e” badging. Mahindra’s new infinity logo will also be prominently displayed on the SUV.
2025 Mahindra XEV 7e: Powertrain
In terms of powertrain, the 2025 Mahindra XEV 7e will offer two battery pack options — a 59 kWh unit and a larger 79 kWh unit. The SUV will be available in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations.
As for range, the XEV 7e is expected to deliver an impressive driving range of up to 650 km on a single charge, depending on the variant. Mahindra will provide both AC and DC fast charging options with the upcoming XEV 7e, ensuring convenient and efficient charging for users.

2025 Mahindra XEV 7e: Cabin and safety features
Interior and Features:
The Mahindra XEV 7e will boast a premium cabin loaded with hi-tech features. It will come with dual-tone interior upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and a triple-screen setup — including a fully digital driver display, a central infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, and a dedicated passenger display.

Safety and Technology:
In terms of safety, the XEV 7e will be equipped with a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), similar to the one offered in the XUV.e9. It will also feature multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera system, rear parking sensors, and multiple drive modes to enhance the overall driving experience.
2025 Mahindra XEV 7e: Price and Availability
The official pricing and availability details for the upcoming Mahindra XEV 7e will be announced at the time of its launch. Mahindra is expected to launch this electric SUV in July 2025, with an anticipated starting price ranging between ₹21 lakh and ₹30 lakh (ex-showroom).
Once launched, the XEV 7e will compete directly with rivals like the Tata Safari EV, positioning itself as a strong contender in the premium electric SUV segment.
