Mahindra and Mahindra is planning to launch its all new Mahindra Thar 5-Door soon in the Indian Market. In the recent development this car has been spotted during testing on the Indian roads.
As per the reports Mahindra will launch this SUV in the mid 2024 in India. The powertrain and design of the 5-Door Thar will be similar to the current generation model, But company can increase the wheelbase of the car and also add two new door for the middle row access.
The price of the Thar 5-Door will be announced at the time of its launch, but we are expecting that company can launch this SUV at starting price of Rs 12 to 14 lakh ex-showroom.

Mahindra Thar 5-Door: Design
Mahindra Thar 5-Door will be equipped with some more new features, which are not available in the current 3-Door model. The design of the SUV will gets some cosmetic updates with new grille section and bumper. It will be equipped with LED lighting setup, tail lamp, fog lamps and new door handles.
The top end of this car could gets all new 19-inch alloy wheels and company may also add some new color option in this car. The information about the dimension is currently unavailable.
Mahindra Thar 5-Door: Engine and Cabin
The 5-Door version of the Thar could get the same 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre petrol engine of the current generation model. For transmission this car will get six speed MT and six-speed AT units.
There will be two-tone theme cabin available in this SUV. It will be equipped with larger 10.15 inch infotainment system, which supports Bluetooth, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Company is also planing to add digital console of Mahindra XUV700 in the upcoming Thar 5-Door.
For safety this car will be equipped with 6 airbags, ABS, Hill Assist and many more features.
