MG Motors has introduced alterations to the MG Comet EV lineup, incorporating a fast-charging feature into this compact electric vehicle. Additionally, they’ve introduced several new features for the variant with fast charging capability.
The naming conventions for the Comet’s Pace, Play, and Plush trims have been modified to Executive, Excite, and Exclusive respectively.
Fast charging will be an option available in the Excite and Exclusive versions. The newly introduced Exclusive Plus variant is priced βΉ20,000 higher compared to the new Exclusive trim.
Now, the price of this 2-door electric car starts from 6.99 lakh rupees and goes up to 9.14 lakh rupees. The price of its fast charger variant starts at 8.24 lakh rupees (prices, ex-showroom).

Features Of the MG Comet EV
At the outset, the MG Comet EV debuted with only a modest 3.3kW AC charger. Presently, a rapid 7.4kW AC charger has been unveiled for two premium trims. However, the company hasn’t specified the charging duration as of now.
Alongside the introduction of the fast-charging option, several other significant features have been incorporated into the variant, contrasting with the standard model. These encompass rear disc brakes, an electronic parking brake, ESC, hill-hold control, power foldable wing mirrors, and a creep mode.
The MG Comet EV comes with a 17.3kWh battery pack, capable of providing a range of 230 kilometers on a single charge. It is equipped with a single electric motor on the rear axle, generating 42hp of power and 110Nm of torque.
