Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy is about to launch its entry-level scooterAther 450S in India. It will officially launched in Indian Market on August 3.
The look of the 450S scooter is similar to its current model. Its price has been kept around Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Ather 450S will come with these features
The Ather 450S gets sleek headlight, single-piece seat with pillion grab rail, 7.0-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster with support of smartphone connectivity, flat footboard and arrowhead-shaped side mirrors.
It has single electric motor and lithium ion battery-pack. It will be capable of covering a distance of 115 kilometers in full charge. The 450S also gets disc brakes on both the wheels.
Hero Vida V1: Price starts from Rs 1.28 lakh
The Hero Vida V1 gets apron-mounted LED headlamps, an LED taillight, a digital instrument console with Bluetooth support and alloy wheels. This scooter is mated to a 3.9kW electric motor and 3.4kWh battery pack.
It is capable of giving a range of 143 kilometers on a single charge. For the safety of the rider, this scooter gets disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear. It also has a combine braking system.
Ola S1: Price starts from Rs 99,999
The Ather 450S will also be able to compete with the Ola S1 available in the country. Ola S1 gets pillion grab rail, smiley-shaped LED headlight, LED taillamp, digital instrument console with Bluetooth support and a flat seat with alloy rims.
This scooter is powered by an electric powertrain with a 5.5kW motor, which gives a range of 141km per charge. It also has a disc brakes and combine braking system on both wheels.
Simple One Electric Scooter: Price starts from Rs 1.45 lakh
In June the Simple One electric scooter got an update. It is an affordable electric scooter that will compete with the Ather 450S.
The scooter is built on a tubular frame, with a headlight mounted front apron, flat footboard and step-up single piece seat with pillar grab rail.
It is powered by an electric motor and is coupled to a 5kWh battery pack. It gives a range of 212 kms.
