Bajaj Chetak vs Ather 450s: Two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj launched the updated Chetak electric scooter in the Indian market last week.
It has been launched in 2 variants β Urban and Premium. Many new features have been added to this scooter. Besides, some cosmetic changes have also been made in Chetak Premium.
In the country, this scooter will compete with Ather 450s, which competes with Chetak scooter in features.

Bajaj Chetak vs Ather 450s: Design
Ather 450S electric scooter comes with an apron-mounted LED headlight, flat footboard, a flush-fitted side stand, designer mirrors, step-up seat and smooth LED taillamps. The scooter also has a 7.0-inch color TFT touchscreen instrument cluster that supports Bluetooth.
Bajaj Chetak comes with an indicator-mounted front apron, LED headlights, large handlebar, body-coloured side mirrors and vertically-oriented split-type taillamps. A new 5-inch TFT screen has been offered in the premium variant of Bajaj Chetak.
Bajaj Chetak vs Ather 450s: Powertrain
New Ather 450S uses a 2.9kWh battery pack and 6kW electric motor. This setup is capable of generating power of 8.58bhp and peak torque of 26Nm. It is capable of covering a distance of 111 kilometers in full charge.
Chetak Premium gets a 3.2kWh battery, which gives a range of 127 km on a full charge and a top speed of 73 km/h. The urban variant gives a range of 113 kilometers.
Bajaj Chetak vs Ather 450s: Features
Keeping in mind the safety of the rider, Ather 450S has disc brakes on both the wheels, while the 2024 Bajaj Chetak has a disc brake on the front wheel and drum brake on the rear wheel.
Both these scooters are equipped with Combined Braking System (CBS). For suspension, the 450S has a telescopic front fork, while the Chetak has a single-sided front fork. Both electric scooters have a rear mono-shock unit.
Bajaj Chetak vs Ather 450s: Price
To buy Ather 450S in India, one has to pay Rs 1.18 lakh. The 2024 Bajaj Chetak, on the other hand, is priced between Rs 1.15 lakh and Rs 1.35 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
Even though the Ather 450S is a powerful electric scooter, our vote goes to the 2024 Bajaj Chetak due to its attractive neo-retro design and longer riding range along with better features. This scooter is a better option for you.
