Luxury carmaker BMW has revealed the BMW X5 Protection VR6. The Armor-plated bulletproof luxury SUV will be showcased at the Munich Motor Show next month by the company.
The car is equipped with a steel body capable of withstanding lethal weapons and explosive attacks with ease.
It gets twin M bars in the front kidney grille, high-gloss black M mirror caps, roof rails in high-gloss shadow line and M exhaust system.
BMW X5 Protection VR6: Features
The BMW X5 Protection VR6 special edition equipped with a molded high-strength steel plates in the doors, side frames, roof and bulkhead. The latest car gets an armored trunk divider and an aluminum underbody as a shrapnel shield.
The fuel tank of the car comes with a special cover, which can seal the puncture to prevent leakage in case a bullet or shrapnel enters the tank. This SUV meets VPAM ballistic standards.

BMW X5 Protection comes with Powerful Engine
The BMW X5 Protection VR6 This is paired with a 48-V mild-hybrid system. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The SUV’s suspension and braking systems have also been retuned to handle the extra weight.
The price of the BMW X5 Protection VR6 will be revealed at the time of launch and deliveries will begin in February next year.
