This electric car will compete with Mahindra XUV400 in the Indian market.

Citroen eC3 Shine vs Mahindra XUV400: Design

Mahindra XUV400 is built on Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture (MESMA) platform. Its front air dam is covered with X design elements and the company’s new logo is given in the middle.

The Citroen eC3 Shine electric car has a muscular bonnet, chrome grille, split-style headlights and wide air vents. Visually, it looks quite similar to the current C3. However, it has been given new front wheels.

The XUV400 is offered with a 39.5 kW battery pack option. This setup is capable of generating power of 150 bhp and peak torque of 310 Nm. This SUV has the capability of giving a range of 456 kilometres in a single charge.

On the other hand, Citroen eC3 has a battery pack of 29.2kWh. With its help, this car will be able to cover a distance of up to 320 kilometres on a single charge.

Talking about the features, the Citroen eC3 Shine electric car has been provided with Adrenox touchscreen infotainment system supporting all types of connectivity options.

Mahindra XUV400 has an infotainment system supporting more than 60 connectivity options.

Mahindra XUV400 has a boot space of 378-litres. The Citroen eC3 Shine comes with only 350-litre bootspace. For safety, features like airbags and parking camera have been provided in both the vehicles.

Citroen is now available for sale in 3 trims. The eC3 Live trim is priced at Rs 11.50 lakh, the mid-variant Feel model at Rs 12.43 lakh and the top Shine model at Rs 13.20 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

The price of Mahindra XUV400 ranges between Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 19.39 lakh. The XUV400 is a solid electric car, but our vote goes to the new Citroen eC3 Shine due to its better looks and affordability.
