The legendary Yamaha RX100 bike from the 1990s is poised to make a comeback on Indian roads, according to reports.
This compact powerhouse, which ceased production in 1996, will now feature a 225.9cc engine and undergo modifications to meet BS6 Phase-2 emission standards.
However, there’s a likelihood that the bike may bear a slightly altered name from the original Yamaha RX100. We are expecting that company is planning to launch this bike at starting price of Rs 1.5 lakh.

Yamaha RX100: Features
The Yamaha RX100 is famous for its sleek and lightweight design, along with its unique exhaust sound and powerful engine, distinguishing it from other motorcycles. According to reports, the upcoming RX model will incorporate some key styling elements from the original bike.
Sporting a retro appearance, the two-wheeler will feature a fuel tank in a tear-drop shape, a flat-type seat, sizable handlebars, a round headlamp unit, chrome fender, upswept exhaust system, and a contemporary semi-digital instrument cluster.
The forthcoming RX motorcycle will boast a potent 225.9cc, 4-stroke engine, generating 20.1bhp of power and 19.93Nm of torque. In comparison, the older model was introduced with a 98cc, single-cylinder, 2-stroke, air-cooled engine (11bhp/10.39Nm).
The new RX bike is anticipated to feature disc brakes on both wheels along with ABS, while the suspension setup will likely include telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear.
