Whether it’s achieving the perfect driving posture for spirited cornering or maximizing comfort during extended periods behind the wheel, this innovative system empowers drivers to tailor their experience to perfection.
This Ferrari system depends on steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire technology. According to reports, the company has filed a patent for this in the United States.
How Ferrari Adjustable Driver Seat System Works?
According to the Car-buzz report, the driver’s seat, steering wheel, steering column, and pedal box have been integrated as a unit, allowing them to rotate halfway around a horizontal rail in the cabin. This system will facilitate the presence of a trainer engineer or coach sitting with the driver during testing.
For a single competition, the system can be switched to a center driving position. Additionally, it will offer the convenience of left-hand and right-hand driving according to different countries.
Learning to drive using Ferrari’s system will be simplified, as the instructor manages pedal control while the learner focuses on steering. Ferrari has ensured that adjustable features like steering wheel height and seat position remain available.
Even once the desired position is achieved within the cabin, drivers can still make further adjustments based on their comfort. This system might be restricted to single-seat track cars or easily detachable second-seat vehicles.
