Hero Maverick 440 vs Triumph Speed 400: Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has unveiled its new flagship bike Maverick 440 Roadster at Hero World 2024.
This two-wheeler is based on the Harley Davidson X440, but the design is different from it. Bookings for the Maverick will begin in February, while deliveries will begin in April.

Hero Maverick 440 vs Triumph Speed 400: Design
The Triumph Speed 400 is built on a hybrid spine/perimeter frame. It has LED headlights and taillights along with a muscular fuel tank. Along with this, it has a USB charging port, semi-digital instrument cluster and 17-inch wheels with Metzeler Sportec tyres.
Hero Maverick comes with projector LED headlamps with H-shaped signature LED DRL, LED turn indicators and taillight. Apart from this, LCD screen is provided for the instrument console in the bike.

The Triumph Speed 400 is powered by a 398 cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine from the TR-series. This engine is capable of generating power of 40 hp at 8000 rpm and peak torque of 37.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. For transmission, it is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
Hero Maverick 440 has a 440 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, similar to the Harley Davidson X440, which is capable of producing 27 bhp power and 38 Nm torque. It is also paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Keeping rider safety in mind, both the wheels of Hero Maverick 440 and Triumph Speed 400 are provided with disc brakes with dual-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS).
The Speed 400 gets new features like traction control system and ride-by-wire throttle. Talking about suspension, Speed 400 has been provided with telescopic front forks.
On the other hand, Maverick 440 gets inverted front forks. Both the neo-retro bikes also feature a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock unit.

Triumph Speed 400 price in India starts from Rs 2.40 lakh. It is estimated that the price of Hero Maverick 440 can be around Rs 2.25 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
