Honda Motor Company has released its two-wheeler sales figures in the last month. According to the sales report, the company has sold a total of 4.19 lakh bikes and scooters during this period (domestic and export).
Of these, 3.82 lakh have been registered in the domestic market, while 36,883 have been exported.
Last month, domestic sales registered an annual increase of 38 percent and exports registered an increase of 102 percent.
Honda Bikes sales report in January 2024
The company has been at second place after Hero MotoCorp in terms of two-wheeler sales. Hero has sold 4.33 lakh bikes and scooters in January.
Earlier also in December 2023, the Japanese company Honda was at second position, when it had sold 3.3 lakh vehicles.
However, the company suffered a loss of 8.99 percent on an annual basis. Honda had sold 3.53 vehicles in December 2022.
Honda has also expanded the production capacity of its two-wheelers in January. The company had commissioned a new third assembly line with a production capacity of 6.5 lakh at its fourth plant in Vithalapur, Gujarat.
Along with this, sales and service Red Wing outlet was also inaugurated in Rajkot. Additionally, last month Honda launched a new adventure tourer bike, the NX500, which is priced at Rs 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
