Audi was established in 1899
The Audi company was founded in 1899 by August Horch. At that time the name of this company was Audi-G. Can you believe, Horch started the company with only 15 people? In 1909 the company’s name was changed to Audi which meant Horch in Latin. In 1910 company launched its first car ‘Audi Type A’. After this, the company also manufactured the Audi Type B model in the same year.

In early 1960s Audi introduced new models and made significant investments in the Auto Union factories. During this time the company started making changes from 2-stroke to 4-stroke engines.
