The Hyundai Creta SUV, produced by South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Company, has reached a significant milestone in sales, surpassing the 10-lakh mark.
Since its launch in 2015, it took nearly 8 years to accomplish this feat. While the initial 5 lakh sales were achieved over a period of 5 years, the subsequent 5 lakh were attained in just 41 months, indicating a rapid increase in popularity.

Hyundai Creta Facelift launched last month
In January 2024, the car manufacturer introduced the facelifted version of the Creta, incorporating numerous alterations to both its exterior and interior.
These include a redesigned grille, updated LED headlights, front LED light bar with L-shaped elements, and rear split tail lamp setup with an added LED light bar.
Additionally, the latest model is equipped with a 10.25-inch connected screen, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, and more than 70 connectivity features. The introductory price for this model starts at 11 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Creta Sales In 2023
In 2023, the Creta maintained its position as the top-selling mid-size SUV in India. Last year, it sold 1.57 lakh units, showing a 12% yearly increase compared to the 1.4 lakh units sold in 2022.
The Creta accounted for 44% of the company’s total utility vehicle sales last year. Since its launch, the Creta has exported a total of 2.82 lakh units.
