South Korean car making company Hyundai has introduced its Hyundai Exter micro-SUV in Indian Market. Company started its booking back in May this Year.
To recall, the car has a boxy look and upmarket cabin with segment-first tech based features, which includes dashcam and dual cameras.
Hyundai Exter is equipped with 1.2-liter kappa engine along with the CNG option. In India this car will compete with Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki Ignis. It is available in 5 trims EX, SM SX, SX(O), S and SX(O). Hyundai says it has received over 11,000 bookings for the Exter.

Hyundai Exter powertrain
The all new Hyundai Exter is powered by 1.2 liter, naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine that generates 83hp and 114Nm of peak torque, which is also available in i20 and Venue. For transmission its has 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT.
Company is claiming that the fuel economy rating of Exter is 19.4kpl for the manual trims and 19.2kmpl for AMT. The factory fitted CNG option offers a much superior fuel economy of 27.10kpl.

Hyundai Exter has parametric grille
The Hyundai Exter is built on Hyundai’s K1 compact car platform. It will be less than 4 meters in length. Its length will be 3595mm, width 1595mm and height 1575mm.
The vehicle has got a boxy look. It has a flat bonnet. Also, for better lighting, its LED headlamp and Daytime Running Light (DRL) have been set on the bumper. Apart from this, LED taillamps have been given like Hyundai Venue.

For on-the-go entertainment, the Hyundai Exter get a touchscreen infotainment system with Blue Link connectivity, wireless charger, 6-speaker audio system, height-adjustable front seats.
It will get a more spacious 5-seater cabin, which will include fabric upholstery, auto climate control, keyless entry and multifunctional steering wheel with cruise control feature.
The Exeter will also get Alexa and Google voice assistant support, which the company has named Home-to-Car (H2C).

For the safety of the passengers, Hyundai Exter get Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill Assist Control (HAC), burglar alarm system.
Also, it will get 3-point seat belts, seatbelt reminder, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with EBD, rear parking sensors and ESS.
Apart from this, the SUV includes headlamp escort function, auto headlamps, rear defogger and rear parking camera. Dashcam and 6 airbags will also be available in the car with dual cameras.
Hyundai Exter: Price
In India Hyundai Exter launched its introductory prices starting at Rs 6 lakh and going up to Rs 9.32 lakhs for the top-spec-trim. The automatic trims start at Rs 7.97 lakhs and CNG trims start at Rs 8.24 lakhs (all prices Delhi ex-showroom).
