Hyundai Showcases Flying car Supernal S-A2, Know Features

Supernal, the air mobility arm of Korean company Hyundai has showcased the Supernal S-A2 flying car at CES 2024 held in Las Vegas.
It is an electrical vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, which will be used as an air taxi in the future.

The company will start its flying testing in 2025 and pre-production vehicles will be tested in 2026 and 2027. Subsequently, it is planned to start production of the S-A2 flying car in 2028.

Hyundai’s Supernal S-A2: Features

The Hyundai Supernal S-A2 is an upgraded version of the S-A1 first showcased in 2020, which seats 5 people including the pilot and is powered by electricity.
This flying car can fly at a speed of 192 km/h up to a height of 1,500-feet and is designed for a short range of between 40-65 kilometers.
Eight tilting rotors have been used in it. The company can equip it with hydrogen fuel cell technology in future.
