Mahindra’s New Global Pickup Truck Might Launch as Scorpio-X, New Information Leaked

Mahindra & Mahindra has registered the trademark for Scorpio-X. It’s speculated that this designation will be utilized for the forthcoming production model slated for a 2025 debut, inspired by the global pickup concept.

Introduced on August 15 last year, the pickup truck concept, rooted in the Mahindra Scorpio-N, was showcased. The upcoming Scorpio-X will derive its foundation from the novel-generation ladder frame platform and has been crafted at the Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS).

This move signifies Mahindra’s strategic advancement towards diversifying its lineup with modern iterations and aligns with its commitment to innovation and global competitiveness.

The Scorpio-X promises to embody Mahindra’s ethos of robustness, versatility, and performance while introducing novel design elements and advanced features to meet evolving consumer preferences and market demands.

Expected Features of Scorpio-X

The styling of this pickup truck resembles the Scorpio-N, featuring a stronger front profile akin to a modified SUV version. It includes a new all-black grille, LED headlights with new DRLs, and a rugged bumper with a winch.

The side profile boasts a snorkel, new alloy wheels, lift-up suspension, roof rails, LED light bar, and side steps. Additionally, it offers a spacious loading bed area, LED taillights, and a robust bumper design.

The Mahindra Scorpio-X may offer powertrain and transmission options similar to the Scorpio-N and could be equipped with an Explore Four-Wheel-Drive system. Advanced features in the pickup truck may include Level-2 ADAS, trailer sway mitigation, all-around airbag protection, drowsy driver detection, and 5G connectivity.

Expected price of Mahindra Scorpio X is around 20 lakh rupees (ex-showroom), it is slated for launch in a phased manner in India, South Africa, the Middle East, North Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and ASEAN countries.
