French car company Renault is working on 3 new car models for Indian market. Currently company is working on 3 new mid-size SUV which will be launch by 2025.
These will include 2 ICE models and 1 EV. Renault currently sells 3 cars in India- Kwid, Triber and Kiger. Introduction of 3 new models will increase its portfolio to 6 models in nexr 3 years.
Renault Indiaβs Operations Country CEO and MD, Venkatram Mamillapalle said, βCompany is looking to enter the segment with a innovations.. We will go into 4+ meters segment.β
The mid size SUV segment in the country already has a established players such as Creta, Seltos and Grand Vitara. Renault aims to pose a challenge to these models and introduce its own version in the country.
In February, the Renault-Nissan alliance announced investment of around 5,300 crore in India.

Renault Arkana SUV: Expected price 20 lakhs
In the recent few month Renaultβs new car Arkana has been seen several time during testing in many parts of the country. It is a compact size SUV, which will be soon launched in India.
Company sells two different models of Arkana SUV. In some markets this car is based on the Renault B0 platform and in others market it is available on models based on the more advanced CMF-B platform.
The information about the powertrain of this vehicle has not been revealed yet. As per report it will come with 2.0 liter engine.
Renault Duster Facelift: Expected price 12 lakhs
Renault is working on the facelift variant of its Renault Duster SUV. It will be launched in 2024 in India. The new Duster will get a 7-seater cabin, which will be more comfortable than before.
It is expected to have a wheelbase of 2673mm and ground clearance of 205mm. There will be a 1.5-liter hybrid petrol engine option, which will generate 104bhp power and 142Nm peak torque.
Renault Kwid Electric: Expected price 8 lakhs
In view of the ever-increasing demand for electric vehicles, the leading automobile company Reno is soon going to launch its Renault Kwid in electric variants. The company has also started its testing.
According to the reports, it can be launched in India this year. Once fully charged, it will be able to cover a distance of approximately 295 km.
