Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Simple Energy has launched its Simple Dot One electric scooter in the Indian market. The company will start accepting bookings for this scooter from January 27, 2024.
The company has updated the powertrain of this scooter. This scooter will be able to cover a distance of 151 kilometers on a single charge.

Simple Dot One: Looks
The Simple Dot One electric scooter has been launched as a sub-variant based on the Simple One platform. Its design is also similar to the existing Simple One scooter.
It also features app connectivity to operate the touchscreen instrument cluster and other features. There is also a 35-litre storage space under the seat for storing luggage. It has tubeless tires with 12-inch wheels.
Simple Dot One: Powertrain
The Dot One has a 3.7kWh capacity battery pack and an 8.5-kW electric motor, which helps it generate 72Nm of torque. This scooter covers a distance of 151 kilometers once charged. It can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 2.77 seconds.
A 750W charger is provided with it. With the help of this charger, this electric scooter can be fully charged in 3 to 4 hours.
Simple Dot One: Features
Talking about rider safety, drum brake and combined braking system has been provided on the front and rear wheels of Simple Dot One. For suspension, it has been provided with telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear end.
The scooter will have three riding modes including Eco, Regular and Sport. In sport mode this scooter can run at a speed of 90 kilometers per hour.
Simple Dot One: Price and Availability
The Simple Dot One electric scooter is priced at Rs 1.40 lakh ex-showroom in the Indian market. This scooter will be able to compete with Ola S1 and Ather 450. 3 years warranty is available on this scooter.
