Tata Motors has shown the first glimpse of its Tata Punch EV. Along with this, booking for electric car has also been opened. It is expected to be launched soon.
This will be India’s smallest SUV to come with an electric powertrain. Besides, the company has also introduced the new Generation-2 pure EV platform on which it is built.
The design of Tata Punch EV seems to be inspired by the Tata Nexon facelift launched last year.
Tata Punch EV: Features
The pictures shared by Tata give a glimpse of the design of the Punch EV, which has slim LED headlights, a closed grille, new alloy wheels, connected LED taillights and connected LED DRLs at the front.
The cabin of the latest car will have features like ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, 10.23-inch virtual cockpit and 360 degree camera. For safety, it can also be provided with Level-2 ADAS technology along with 6 airbags.
Punch EV’s Gen-2 pure EV platform offers a range of at least 300 kilometers, which can go up to 600 kilometers depending on the battery size.
The vehicle is expected to be offered in 2 versions with 25kWh and 35kWh capacity batteries. It will have 2 charging options including 7.2 kW fast home charger with support for fast charger.
Its price is expected to be around Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
