Toyota has issued a recall for its flagship luxury SUV, the Land Cruiser LC300, in India. This recall affects 269 vehicles manufactured between February 12, 2021, and February 1, 2023.
Specifically, these vehicles will receive an update to the electronic control unit (ECU) software for the automatic transmission.
Toyota assures that there are no defects in the relevant components and owners can continue to use their SUVs until the software update is performed.
Toyota India will contact vehicle owners for the necessary software update, which will be done at no additional cost. Land Cruiser LC300 owners can find out about this by contacting their nearest dealer or calling Toyota’s customer assistance center at 1800-309-0001.
Additionally, owners can check if their vehicle is included in this recall by entering their vehicle identification number (VIN) in the “Safety Recall” section of the Toyota India website.
