Maruti Suzuki will soon launch its new MPV in India. Company has announced that its upcoming MPV will be known as Maruti Suzuki Invicto. It will go official here on July 5.

Invicto is a rebadge version of Toyota Innova Hycross with similar looks, powertrain and features like ADAS tech. It will be built by Toyota at its factory in Bidadi, Karnataka.

Talking about design, It will equipped with a muscular hood, a twin-slat chrome-finished grille with a hexagonal pattern, bumper-mounted DRLs, a wide air vent, and swept-back LED headlights.Β 

A shark-fin antenna and tri-block LED taillamps will be available on the back of the MPV.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Cabin

Akin to the Innova Hycross, the Invicto might get a seven/eight-seater cabin, featuring a panoramic sunroof, auto climate control, cruise control, USB chargers, and a multifunctional steering wheel.

Passengers’ safety should be ensured by six airbags, ADAS suite, ABS, and EBD.

It may pack a digital instrument cluster, a JBL sound system, and a 10.1-inch infotainment panel withΒ Android AutoΒ andΒ Apple CarPlayΒ support.

Invicto: Powertrain

Invicto willΒ  get two engine options. First a 2.0-liter, inline-four, TNGA petrol engine = with a mild-hybrid setup, which generates about 174hp power and 197Nm peak torque .

Another 2.0-liter, TNGA petrol-hybrid powertrain which generates 186hp power and 187Nm torque. Transmission duties should be taken care of by a CVT gearbox. It may also comes with automatic gearbox.

Price and availability

Pricing information of the Maruti Suzuki Invicto in India will be announced at the launch event on July 5. It should bear a starting price tag of roughly Rs. 19 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bonus Information about Invicto

The Invicto will be Maruti Suzuki’s first automatic-only model and shall be sold inΒ  NEXA line-up. It will be the brand’s flagship car on our market. In India it will go against the cars like Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari.
