Swedish car company Volvo has officially introduced its second electric car Volvo C40 Recharge, in the Indian market. The company will launch it in August and its delivery will start from September this year.
The looks of the C40 are similar to the Volvo XC40 Recharge that came last year. However, some updates have also been made in it.
A 78kWh battery pack has been given in this electric car. It will be able to cover a distance of about 530 kilometers in full charge.

The Volvo C40 Recharge is built on the company’s Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform. The SUV gets an attractive grille, charging port at the rear, ‘Thor Hammer’ LED headlights and L-shaped taillights.
It also gets blacked out roof rails, outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs), B pillars and alloy wheels. Talking about dimensions, its wheelbase is 2702mm and ground clearance is 211mm.

Volvo C40 Recharge has a spacious and comfortable cabin equipped with the latest features. It has 5-seater cabin.
Along with this, Harman Kardon audio system, panoramic sunroof, auto climate control, heated seats and multifunctional power steering wheel are also available in its cabin.
C40 also gets a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with support for smartphone connectivity and ‘Volvo on Call’ app.
Volvo C40 Recharge: Powertrain
This Volvo electric car has a 78kWh battery and two 150kW electric motors. This setup is capable of generating 402bhp power and 660Nm peak torque. After full charge, this car can run up to 530 kilometers. Also, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds. It has a top speed of 300km/h
Volvo C40 Recharge: Expected Price
Information about the price and availability of the Volvo C40 electric car in the Indian market will be given at the time of its launch in August. However, it is estimated that its price could be around 60 lakhs.
