Chinese Automobile company BAIC has published its second generation BAIC BJ40 pictures on internet. This SUV is no more copycat of Jeep Wrangler.
The all new BAIC BJ40 is design on a body-on-frame and is equipped with ICE-powered petrol engine.
New look of this SUV is very similar to the popular Tank 300. Let us tell you that BAIC has launched its BJ40 in 2013, which looked like a Jeep Wrangler ripoff with Range Rover face.

The new generation has a single bodystyle, unlike the previous model which has 2-door, 4-door and also a pickup variants.
The new BAIC BJ40 has a boxy LEDs with an new 3-piece grille and a off-road bumper. It has a heavy door, terrain tires and generous ground clearance. As per the pictures the SUV gets full-size spare wheel, flat tailgate and classic off-roaders.
The SUV measures 4790mm long, 1940mm wide and 1895mm tall. It has a wheel base ofΒ 2760mm.
Powertrain of BAIC BJ40
Some sources reveals that the BAIC BJ40 will equipped with 2.0-liter petrol engine, which generates power of 241 hp and 385 Nm of torque.
This SUV will be more powerful compared to its previous model. For transmission this SUV gets 4-wheels drive system and a 8-speed automatic gearbox.
BAIC BJ40: Price and Availability
Pre-booking of BAIC BJ40 in China will start on 25 August. Its price is yet to be announced by the company. It will be make its way a Chengdu Auto Show. It will somewhere between the Β₯200,000-300,000 ($28,000-41,600) range.
